    Ceramic Sustainable Urban Drainage System

    Sustainable drainage system (CERSUDS) pilot experience that uses low commercial value ceramics in stock as a permeable urban pavement. This floor allows water infiltration, runoff treatment and water reuse as part of a SUDS. The demonstrator, with an area of approximately 3,000 m2, has been built in a consolidated urban environment of light and pedestrian traffic located in the municipality of Benicàssim (Spain).

    A standardized building facade panel made from waste wood.

    We make facade-panels from "waste-wood" in a collaboration with recycling stations and municipalities. At the same time we create CSR-jobs by providing a safe productionline that can be maintained by citizens outside the jobmarket. By upcyling and refining waste-wood we are giving new life to waste-wood. In Denmark 283.000 tonnes of wood - that we are able to recycle - are being thrown out every year. That amount equals 283.000 tonnes CO2 that we can save and storage.

EPEA made it possible to connect these aspects based on the Cradle to Cradle principle with BIM. This complex interrelationship for a consistent circular economy is overcome using a combination of different software. Thereby, the BIM model is able to depict the c2c parameters using clear colouring to indicate the elements' quality.

    A residential project Botanica K has been the first residential project in Czech Republic to start using the grey water system. The water flowing down the drains of showers, bathtubs and bathroom sinks – water only slightly dirty – could receive basic water treatments, such as filtration and disinfection. Then this treated "grey water" could be piped back into bathrooms to use to flush toilets, rather than drinking water.

Its goal and contribution was the creation of a building material for insulation - MASTER POOR SO-8 polyurethane foam. The company "ADAMANTAN" is not going to be satisfied with what has already been achieved, and is conducting research and development work on replacing one of the components of the polyurethane foam-polyol with a tall oil polyol created by the company itself.

    Hydrogen is the key to our green future in unity with nature for a good quality of life and sound health. The Municipality of Belene has piloted a hydrogen solution for the transition period - we have integrated an electrolyser system that produces hydrogen fuel on-site and adds it to the heating system of our administrative building, thereby reducing the used conventional fuel by around 40% and harmful emission, CO2 in particular by 30%. Expansion to 100% H2 heating powered by solar is planned.

As a meeting place for all, the aim is that a person that takes a break from the chamber music concert accidentally bumps into someone on the way to change for ice-hockey and they start to exchange thoughts about their experiences. It uses timber hybrid construction and efficient multilayered energy production on site. These buildings create a benefit by removing additional carbon dioxide (-17t CO2/a) from the atmosphere. It creates a positive effect for the future of our diverse society and green environment.
