During our leisure time, we, the students of the 4C, picked apples in Hohenems Reute. The apples were later processed into organic apple juice in a local cider factory.   What is the income used for? We sold the packaged apple juice in our school and at the weekly market in Dornbirn. The raised money was used to finance blackboards in a school in Nigeria.
Please give information about the key objectives of your project in terms of inclusion and how these have been met
By participating in the EU project Erasmus +, all students at the HLW Rankweil have the opportunity to complete their three-month compulsory internship abroad, thereby expanding their communication skills in foreign languages and, above all, strengthening their personal and social skills.  To us it was important to use regional resources that have fallen into oblivion and to process them sensibly. We picked the apple!
Please give information on the results/impacts achieved by your project in relation to the category you apply for
Why exactly blackboards? We decided to invest in blackboards because it is a simple way to improve teaching. Using the blackboard is now an opportunity for students to visualize what has already been learned. This way of teaching supports all types of learning.
Please explain the way citizens benefiting from or affected by the project and civil society have been involved in the project and what has been the impact of this involvement on the project
We want to take responsibility to make a contribution to ensuring that young people of our age get the opportunity to read, write and do maths.   „one child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world. Education is the only solution. Education first.”
Please highlight the innovative character of the project
Elisabeth Schmid, our teacher, brought up the idea of the apple project. We were passionate to join in we are satisfied with the results.
Please explain how the project led to results or learnings which could be transferred to other interested parties
The organisation „missio“ made the implementation  in Nigeria possible.                                                       https://www.missio.at/   We are glad we were able to work with "missio". We discovered new possibilites to help students in Nigeria.
